The Brian’s OPTiK X2 JR Goalie Catcher offers many of the high-end features the OPTiK Pro 2 comes with, but at a more accessible price. The X2 Goalie Glove features an updated 40 degree catch angle, and brings exceptional value and quality to mid-range level of goalie equipment.
Break Angle
The OPTiK X2 catcher is a 40 degree break angle; the same as the pro model OPTiK 2. Tweaked from the previous generation 35 degree, this updated break allows for a more natural close and a game-ready feel out of the box.
Cuff Design
The OPTiK X2 catching glove features a one-piece cuff design, and an open backhand. This one-piece cuff allows for maximum coverage and protection, while the open backhand design gives goalies maximum mobility with no chest protector interference.
Pocket Design
The OPTiK X2 trapper features a Large single “T” pocket that works to trap pucks, while minimizing pop-outs.
Strapping
The Brian’s OPTiK X2 catcher follows more traditional strapping styles, with velcro and nylon straps for adjustments. This simple yet effective system is comparable to what was on previous Brian’s catchers. These straps allow you to adjust the tightness of the wrist, hand and fingers for a customized fit.
External Material
The OPTiK X2 goalie glove is made with traditional JenPro outer material, seen on almost all Brian’s goalie equipment.
