Bauer Vapor X Shift Pro Intermediate Hockey Skates (2021)

Boot Construction & Stiffness Profile
Bauer has constructed the Vapor X Shift Pro with the focus on performance level hockey players. This skate features Bauer’s 3D Lasted Curv Composite material. It’s lightweight and offers top of its class thermoforming composite. This allows you to get a nice mold and wrap of the boot to your foot. Comfort Edge Padding compliments the top of the boot nicely to nullify bites when stopping and performing aggressive tight turns.

Like the 3x Pro, the flex point on the X Shift Pro is in the lower portion of the skate. It’s soft in the lower parts of the boot for more response and stiffer in the upper region for more lateral support.

Furthermore, Bauer has added a Pro TPU outsole. Essentially what this does is allow the skate to maintain that lower kick-point for the optimal quickness and agility you want out of a Vapor skate.

Liner & Internal Padding
The Vapor X Shift Pro comes out of the box with a game day ready feel. With Bauer’s new Fit System, getting into the X Shift Pro is seamless. The X Shift Pro features the 1 Piece Hydrolite liner to provide a great grip of the foot and moisture management to keep you as dry as possible. The liner also offers a new wear patch in the more commonly worn down areas to increase the longevity of the skate. Pairing this with Bauer’s Memory foam interior, this boot delivers exceptional comfort while still maintaining a snug ankle wrap.

Asymmetrical Toe Cap
The Vapor X Shift Pro features an asymmetrical toe cap. This new toe cap has been revolutionized to reduce the negative space which results in a better fit. It also generates more power with every push stride. Bauer designed this toe cap based on the data collected from over 400,000 scans from the Bauer 3D scanner.

Tongue
Bauer has styled its Vapor X Shift Pro tongue to keep the main focus on comfort and performance. The tongue includes a 48 oz Pro Stock felt tongue infused with an injected metatarsal guard to offer a balance of performance, support, and great feel.

Insoles
The X Shift Pro comes with the Lock Fit insole. This sole helps increase the forward flex of the skate and grips your foot to the bed of the boot. This allows you to increase the control and blade contact you have while skating.

Steel Runner, Holder & Blade Profile
The Bauer X Shift Pro is equipped with the Tuuk LS+ steel. This is a high-premium, high-grade steel that has an added 3 millimeters of height that allows players to get into their turns quicker and increases the lifetime of the steel. It also features a 10 foot radius on the blade which increases your agility on the ice.

The holder is the Tuuk Lightspeed Edge with the quick release trigger system. This holder is the number one holder used by the NHL and professional players everywhere.

Graphics
Like the 3x Pro and other models in the Vapor line, the X Shift Pro follows the traditional Vapor look we come to love. The graphic transitions from dark to lighter grey top to bottom. Complementing this is a vibrant red comfort edge liner that pulls everything together quite nicely.
